Itinerary

Upon landing at Bandaranaike International Airport, a Jetwing Travels representative meets you and leads you to a private car. The drive to Negombo takes only twenty minutes, covering fifteen kilometres. You complete check‑in at your hotel, then the evening is yours to unwind. A welcome dinner is provided at the property. The gentle sea breeze and quiet surroundings ensure a restful first overnight.

Your chauffeur driver guide picks you up after breakfast for the journey to Dambulla. You visit the famous Rock Temple, a five‑hundred‑foot high granite outcrop. These caves once sheltered King Walagamba during fourteen years of exile, and after regaining his throne he created a magnificent temple complex. In the first cavern you see a forty‑seven‑foot reclining Buddha carved directly from the bedrock. The second and largest cave holds one hundred and fifty Buddha statues in various poses, with vibrant ceiling frescoes. Afterwards you check into your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, your chauffeur driver guide takes you to Sigiriya, a fifth‑century fortress perched on a six‑hundred‑foot rock. You climb past the famous frescoes of twenty‑one celestial maidens and through the lion paws gateway. On the summit you explore the remains of the royal palace, water gardens, and boulder gardens. En route to Kandy you stop at Matale’s spice gardens to see cinnamon, cardamom, and pepper vines. In Kandy you visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and enjoy a cultural dance show with fire walking. Dinner is served at your hotel.

Your chauffeur driver guide collects you after breakfast and drives toward Nuwara Eliya. You pause at Ramboda Water Falls for photographs, then tour a tea plantation and factory to learn how Ceylon tea is made. Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, often called Little England, you explore the town’s colonial cottages, Queen Anne style mansions, and colourful flower gardens. You check into your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in this cool highland retreat.

Breakfast is followed by a drive toward Yala. You stop in Ella to admire the iconic Nine Arches Bridge, a colonial railway viaduct set in dense greenery. You also see Rawana Water Falls and may try the Rawana Zip Line at your own cost. Upon reaching Yala National Park, you board a four‑wheel‑drive jeep for a three‑hour safari. You search for leopards, elephants, spotted deer, crocodiles, and a rich variety of birds. Afterwards you check into your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Your chauffeur driver guide takes you after breakfast toward Colombo, halting at Weligama to watch stilt fishermen perched on poles above the waves. In Galle you tour the Dutch Fort, a World Heritage site, walking along the massive ramparts and visiting the lighthouse. You then continue to Colombo for a city tour and shopping, seeing the colonial clock tower, Pettah bazaar, Hindu and Buddhist temples, and the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall. Dinner is at your Colombo hotel.

Enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel before checking out. Your chauffeur driver guide transfers you to Bandaranaike International Airport in a private vehicle, timed for your departure flight. Your Sri Lankan journey concludes with memories of ancient rock temples, lion rock fortress, tea plantations, wildlife encounters, and coastal forts. Safe travels until you return.
