Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR) in Liberia, you will pass through Immigration and customs before meeting your local representative, who will transfer you to your hotel in the Tenorio Volcano area. The private land transfer takes approximately 2 hours through scenic countryside landscapes. The Río Celeste in Tenorio National Park, with its turquoise-colored waters and waterfall, is one of the main attractions in the Pacific North region, offering opportunities for hiking, birding, and wildlife viewing. After checking into your hotel, the remainder of the day is at your leisure to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. No guided activities are scheduled for this day. Overnight stay at Rio Celeste Hideaway.
After breakfast, you will meet your guide at the front desk and head to the breathtaking Tenorio Volcano National Park, which features four different life zones as well as the beautiful aqua-hued Rio Celeste. A legend tells that after God was done painting the sky, he washed his brushes in the river that now bears the name of Río Celeste, meaning Light Blue River. You will start the hike through this humid forest ecosystem, with the chance to observe various animal species and tropical flora surrounding you. Along the walk, you will discover the Río Celeste waterfall, as well as the section of the river where it dyes itself into that light blue coloration. This shared tour has a medium level of difficulty and covers a total hike of 4 miles, lasting approximately 3 hours. Included in this tour are a guide, transportation, admission fees, and an energy bar. After the hike, you will return to your hotel, and the remainder of the day is at your leisure. Overnight stay at Rio Celeste Hideaway.
Today is entirely yours to enjoy at leisure in the beautiful Rio Celeste area, with no organized activities scheduled to allow you complete flexibility. You can rest and relax at the hotel or explore the surrounding rainforest on your own. The region offers many possibilities for nature lovers, with trails in the park and private reserves providing excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Overnight stay at Rio Celeste Hideaway.
After breakfast, you will meet your driver at the lobby of the hotel for a private land transfer to the Pacific North, approximately 3.5 hours. Along the way, you will stop to stretch your legs, use restroom facilities, and have the opportunity to purchase food, which is not included. Upon arrival in Tamarindo, you will check into your hotel before heading out for a shared kayak snorkeling tour. You will meet your transportation and driver for a short ride to the embarking point for kayaks, and with your guide, you will aim for Tamarindo Capitan Island. As you row through the ocean waters, you will enjoy the intense colors of the water and observe underwater life, with the chance to see tropical fish like major sergeant, globe fish, damsel fish, and brown boobies, pelicans, and terns. Please note that this tour is entirely tide dependent, visibility for snorkeling is limited to approximately 10 feet, and the open ocean may be exhausting for beginners. The snorkeling equipment provided may not fit as well as your own personal gear. The tour duration is 2.5 hours and includes snorkeling gear, kayaks, a guide, and water. After the tour, the remainder of the day is at your leisure. Overnight stay at Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort.

The laid-back beach vibe, delicious local cuisine, and stunning sunsets make Tamarindo a truly special place to end your Costa Rican adventure. Overnight stay at Tamarindo Diria Beach Resort.
After enjoying your final breakfast in Costa Rica, you will meet your driver at the lobby of your hotel for a private land transfer to Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR) in Liberia, which takes approximately 3.5 hours.
